Colombian Mining & Exploration

Colombian Exploration Companies: The Full List

Colombian exploration companies are the prospectors of the stock market: small, listed firms that raise money, drill holes and hope to find the next mine. This is our full list of the junior and exploration companies we track in Colombia, grouped by the belts and districts they work in.

Glad you are here. If you are new to Colombian exploration stocks, the short version is this. Explorers do not sell metal. They sell the chance of a discovery, and their share prices move with drill results, resource estimates, financings and permits. That makes them the most volatile corner of Colombian stocks, and also the corner where new ore bodies are found. Investors watch them because Colombia’s Andes are still lightly drilled compared with Chile or Peru, and because several recent discoveries came from juniors.

This list includes every company in our tracker at the grassroots, advanced exploration or resource-defined stage, plus developers with a PEA, PFS or FS that are not yet producers anywhere. Larger producers and their development projects are on our Colombian mining companies list. The order is geographic, not a ranking.

Middle Cauca belt

The Middle Cauca belt runs north-south through Caldas, Risaralda and southwest Antioquia, following the Cauca River valley. It hosts porphyry gold-copper systems and epithermal veins, and it is where many of the best-known Colombian gold stocks do their drilling.

Collective Mining (TSX: CNL)

Collective Mining published a maiden resource for the Apollo system at its Guayabales project in Caldas in September 2026: about 5.41 million gold-equivalent ounces, split between indicated and inferred categories. Its US listing moved to Nasdaq in August 2026. San Antonio, also in Caldas, is an earlier-stage gold-copper target.

GoldMining (TSX: GOLD)

GoldMining holds three Colombian projects in Antioquia. La Mina, about 51 km southwest of Medellín, has an updated preliminary economic assessment released in April 2026. Titiribí and Yarumalito are gold-copper projects with published resource estimates. The company also trades on the NYSE American as GLDG.

Tiger Gold (TSXV: TIGR)

Tiger Gold holds 100% of the Quinchía gold project in Risaralda after exercising its option in 2026. Quinchía includes the Tesorito and Miraflores deposits and the newer Ceibal target. The company has said it is working toward an updated PEA.

Max Resource (TSXV: MAX)

Max Resource‘s Mora project in Caldas is an early-stage gold-silver property. Its larger Colombian project, Sierra Azul, is covered under “Other regions” below.

Monteoro Minerals (TSXV: MTAU)

Monteoro Minerals (TSXV: MTAU) is one of the newest listed explorers in Colombia. Its La Ruana project in Antioquia’s Middle Cauca belt is at the advanced exploration stage, and it also holds the earlier-stage Marquesa and Nudillales projects. See the Monteoro Minerals profile.

Middle Cauca belt: west of Medellín

West of Medellín, the Cauca valley and the western cordillera host the Buriticá deposit and several juniors exploring similar ground.

Orosur Mining (AIM: OMI)

Orosur Mining, listed on AIM and the TSXV, reported a maiden resource at the Pepas zone of its Anzá project in February 2026: about 201,000 indicated ounces of gold at 5.46 g/t, plus a smaller inferred portion. It filed an NI 43-101 technical report in March 2026.

Royal Road Minerals (TSXV: RYR)

Royal Road Minerals is exploring the 100%-owned Güíntar-Alemán-Margaritas (GAM) gold-copper-silver project about 50 km west of Medellín. In 2026 it reported diamond drilling at Güíntar, Niverengo and El Alemán.

FenixOro Gold (CSE: FENX)

FenixOro Gold has explored the Abriaquí gold vein project in Antioquia. According to public filings, it has been under a management cease trade order since 2023, and the CSE halted its shares in September 2023; check SEDAR+ for current status.

Segovia-Remedios

The Segovia-Remedios district of northeast Antioquia is one of Colombia’s oldest high-grade vein camps and home to Aris Mining’s Segovia operations.

Quimbaya Gold (CSE: QIM)

Quimbaya Gold‘s flagship Tahami project sits in Segovia, and it added two Segovia concessions in April 2026. It also holds the Berrío project near Puerto Berrío and the Maitamac project near Abejorral.

Santander

Terra Rossa Gold (TSXV: TRR)

Terra Rossa Gold holds the Minera Vetas gold project in the California-Vetas district of Santander, nine claims covering about 314 hectares. The company listed on the TSXV through a transaction with Baroyeca Gold & Silver.

Tolima

Outcrop Silver & Gold (TSX: OCG)

Outcrop Silver & Gold‘s Santa Ana high-grade silver project lies in the Mariquita district of Tolima. Its September 2026 resource totalled about 57.8 million silver-equivalent ounces across 13 vein systems, and the company has begun PEA work.

Copper Giant Resources: Chaparral

Copper Giant Resources secured a 16 square kilometre copper exploration block at Chaparral, Tolima, in the national copper round, with contracts signed in October 2026.

Putumayo

Copper Giant Resources (TSXV: CGNT): Mocoa

Mocoa, about 10 km from the town of the same name, is a porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit. Copper Giant reported an inferred resource of about 1.12 billion tonnes at 0.31% copper and 0.039% molybdenum, effective November 2025, and has continued drilling.

Chocó

Andina Copper (TSXV: ANDC)

Andina Copper, formerly Pampa Metals, is drilling the Cobrasco porphyry copper-molybdenum project in Chocó.

Other regions

Max Resource: Sierra Azul

Sierra Azul is a district-scale copper-silver project in the Cesar basin of northeastern Colombia. Freeport-McMoRan can earn up to 80% by spending C$50 million and making cash payments to Max under a 2024 agreement.

Auxico Resources Canada (CSE: AUAG)

Auxico Resources Canada has explored the Minastyc rare earth and coltan property in Vichada. According to public filings, it has been under a failure-to-file cease trade order since December 2023, with a partial revocation granted in November 2025 to allow a financing; check SEDAR+ for current status.

Field note: A resource is not a reserve, and a PEA is not a mine. When you read a junior’s news release, look for the qualified person, the resource category and the effective date before you look at the headline number.

Frequently asked questions

What are Colombian exploration stocks?

They are shares in listed junior companies exploring for gold, copper, silver or other minerals in Colombia. Most do not yet produce metal and fund their work by issuing shares.

Where do Colombian exploration companies trade?

Mostly on the TSX Venture Exchange, the TSX and the CSE in Canada, with some on AIM in London and on US exchanges such as Nasdaq or the NYSE American.

Which regions of Colombia have the most exploration?

In our tracker, most projects sit in Antioquia and Caldas along the Middle Cauca belt, with others in Tolima, Santander, Putumayo, Chocó and Cesar.

Why are exploration stocks riskier than producers?

They have no revenue, depend on financing and drill success, and still face permits before any mine can be built. Many never reach production. See Permits & Licensing.

How do I keep up with Colombian junior mining news?

Our Daily Brief covers results and financings each morning, and The Vein brings the week together.
