About FenixOro Gold

FenixOro Gold is a Toronto-based junior exploring for high-grade, vein-hosted gold in Colombia. Its flagship is Abriaquí, at the northern end of the Mid-Cauca gold belt in Antioquia and about 15 km west of the Buriticá mine (formerly Continental Gold, now owned by Zijin). VP Exploration Stuart Moller led the Buriticá discovery team for Continental Gold from 2007 to 2011.

The company has drilled about 12,000 m on the northern block at Abriaquí but has no NI 43-101 resource. In December 2022 it agreed to buy the small Escondida mine in Cáceres, northeast Antioquia, hoping its cash flow would fund exploration. In May 2025 it signed a definitive agreement to buy the El Porvenir mine and plant, about 3 km northwest of Abriaquí, for shares.

The main issue for investors is corporate, not geological. A management cease trade order in mid-2023 was followed by a full cease trade order and a trading halt in September 2023, after annual filings were delayed. The CSE lists the shares as suspended. The company has said it is seeking financing and working to resume trading. No company news release from 2026 was found.

FenixOro Gold’s Colombian projects

Abriaquí

Abriaquí sits in the Mid-Cauca belt about 15 km west of Buriticá, and a December 2019 NI 43-101 technical report noted geology very similar to Buriticá’s. The target is a swarm of more than 80 high-grade, mesothermal quartz veins exposed over about 800 vertical metres. Mesothermal veins form at moderate depth and temperature. Many surface samples assayed above 20 g/t gold, with lower-grade stockwork (a mesh of small veins) between them. In August 2020, the company added 848 ha of adjacent claims.

FenixOro received environmental authorization to drill in September 2020 and ran Phase 1 and Phase 2 programs from 2021 to 2022. It reported vein discoveries, including one in June 2022 averaging 39 g/t gold and 254 g/t silver along 100 m of strike. The company says about 12,000 m have been drilled on the northern block, which has a potential resource model. The roughly 3 km between that block and El Porvenir is largely undrilled.

Resources: No mineral resource yet.

El Porvenir (pending acquisition)

El Porvenir is about 3 km northwest of the Abriaquí boundary, and the company calls it the district’s largest historic producer. It has about 1,500 m of underground development on four levels down to about 280 m depth, but has never been drilled. FenixOro says it is permitted for exploitation, with an on-site plant that can expand to 60 t/d and reported average production of 13 g/t gold. A 35-ha parcel on a 525-ha title to the northwest was in final permitting for a 300 t/d plant, which the company expected in 2025.

Under the May 22, 2025 agreement, FenixOro would issue about 39 million shares for 70% and 16 million more for the remaining 30%. No seller would hold more than 9.9%. Closing depends on due diligence, permit confirmation, an NI 43-101 report on El Porvenir, lifting of the cease trade order, Colombian government approvals and CSE approval. Combined with Abriaquí, the land package would total almost 2,000 ha.

Resources: No NI 43-101 resource. Company cites ~80,000 oz gold on the main vein from channel sampling (historical/non-compliant; not to be relied on).

Escondida

Escondida is a 1,050-ha concession in Cáceres, about 150 km north of Medellín. When FenixOro agreed to buy it in December 2022, mine records showed about 1,000 oz of gold a year at about 10 g/t from a single working face. The terms were US$150,000 upfront plus up to US$2.85 million from mine cash flow over three years, and FenixOro could terminate the deal.

No later update on Escondida was found.

Resources: No mineral resource (no drilling; no historical or NI 43-101 resource).
