Colombian Mining & Exploration

Colombian Mining Companies: The Full List

Colombian mining companies range from a Medellín-founded gold producer to the world’s largest gold miners. This is our full list of the listed producers and developers working in Colombia: who mines what, where, and how far along each project is.

Pull up a chair. When most investors search for Colombian mining stocks, they are really looking for two groups. Producers are companies already pulling metal out of the ground and selling it. Developers own a defined deposit with an economic study, and are working through permits and financing toward a mine. Both groups are covered here. The junior explorers have their own page at Colombian Exploration Companies, and everything is pulled together in our tracker.

The list is grouped by stage and then by company. It is not a ranking and it is not a recommendation.

Producers

Aris Mining (TSX: ARIS, NYSE: ARIS): Segovia and Marmato

Aris Mining runs two underground gold mines: Segovia in northeast Antioquia and Marmato in Caldas. The company says they produced about 257,000 ounces of gold in 2025. Its US line moved from the NYSE American to the NYSE in February 2026, under the same ARIS symbol it uses in Toronto.

Zijin Mining Group (HKEX: 2899): Buriticá

Zijin acquired Buriticá through its 2020 takeover of Continental Gold. By the ANM’s 2023 figures it was Colombia’s largest titled gold producer. The company has reported repeated problems with illegal mining and armed groups in and around its concession.

Mineros (TSX: MSA, BVC: MINEROS): Nechí

Founded in Colombia in 1974 and headquartered in Medellín, Mineros operates the Nechí alluvial property in the Lower Cauca region of Antioquia and the Hemco operations in Nicaragua. It trades in Toronto, Bogotá and on the OTCQX.

Soma Gold (TSXV: SOMA): El Bagre

Soma Gold owns the El Bagre gold complex in Antioquia, which includes the Cordero underground mine and an operating processing plant.

Denarius Metals (Cboe Canada: DMET): Zancudo

Denarius Metals owns 100% of the Zancudo project in Titiribí, Antioquia, about 30 km southwest of Medellín. It is in early production and published a PEA in March 2026, with a 1,000 tonne-per-day plant planned for commissioning from August 2026.

Antioquia Gold (TSXV: AGD): Cisneros

Antioquia Gold operates the underground Cisneros gold mine and process plant in Antioquia. It also trades on OTC Pink as AGDXF.

Atico Mining (TSXV: ATY): El Roble

Atico Mining‘s El Roble in Chocó is a high-grade underground copper-gold mine with a nominal 1,000 tonne-per-day plant. It reported about 2.09 million pounds of copper in the first quarter of 2026, and is exploring for VMS-type mineralization nearby.

Developers

Aris Mining: Soto Norte

Soto Norte is a gold-copper-silver project in Santander. Aris completed a prefeasibility study in September 2025 and bought Mubadala’s remaining 49% in November 2025, taking 100% ownership. It said it planned environmental licensing submissions in the first half of 2026.

AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE: AU): Quebradona

AngloGold Ashanti‘s Quebradona copper-gold project lies near Jericó in southwest Antioquia. ANLA shelved its environmental licence application in 2021 and rejected the appeal in 2022. In September 2026 the company said it was preparing a new environmental impact study, aiming to file for a licence around the end of 2027.

B2Gold (TSX: BTO, NYSE American: BTG): Gramalote

B2Gold has owned 100% of Gramalote in Antioquia since buying AngloGold Ashanti’s 50% stake in October 2023. It published a positive feasibility study in July 2025. No construction decision has been made, and permit modifications were filed in December 2025 and March 2026.

GoldMining (TSX: GOLD, NYSE American: GLDG): La Mina

GoldMining‘s La Mina gold-copper project, about 51 km southwest of Medellín, has an updated PEA released in April 2026. GoldMining also holds the Titiribí and Yarumalito resource-stage projects in Antioquia.

JCHX Mining Management (SSE: 603979): Alacrán

JCHX, listed in Shanghai, controls Veritas Resources AG, which completed its purchase of the remaining 50% of the Alacrán copper-gold-silver project in Córdoba from Cordoba Minerals in March 2026 for US$128 million.

Tiger Gold (TSXV: TIGR): Quinchía

Tiger Gold owns 100% of Quinchía in Risaralda, which includes the permitted Miraflores underground deposit and the Tesorito deposit. The company says it is working on an updated PEA.

Mineros: La Colosa

Mineros completed its purchase of AngloGold Ashanti Colombia, owner of the gold exploration project at Cajamarca, Tolima, known historically as La Colosa, in April 2026. Exploration there has been mostly suspended since 2017, and Mineros plans to rename the project with local stakeholders.

Field note: “Developer” covers a wide range. A feasibility study with permits in progress is a very different thing from a PEA on a project still waiting for an environmental licence. Read the stage and the permit status together.

Colombia’s largest mines beyond gold and copper

For context, the biggest mines in Colombia are not gold or copper mines at all.

  • Cerrejón (coal, La Guajira): a large open-pit coal mine near the Venezuelan border. Glencore became sole owner in January 2022 after buying the BHP and Anglo American stakes.
  • Cerro Matoso (nickel, Córdoba): a ferronickel mine and smelter. South32 completed its sale of Cerro Matoso to a subsidiary of CoreX Holding B.V. on December 1, 2025.
